Capital Stewardship Phase II |
| Since Phase I Celebration Sunday on June 22, 2003, the majority of time and money has been spent on: |
|
After a lengthy bidding and negotiating process, we were
painfully made aware that our original estimates for Phase I construction
were low (by approximately $700,000) and this further delayed the awarding
of the building contract.
|
|
Since almost two years had elapsed before actual construction was started, a decision was made by Session to authorize another phased Capital Stewardship Program. The purpose of the Phase II Stewardship Program was to elicit pledges from all new members of PCTR joining during the last three years, as well as members who missed the opportunity to pledge during Phase I Stewardship. |
|
Many former Son Rise committee members from Phase I were called upon to assist with providing information sessions for those members having not yet pledged, and information was provided weekly during all worship services regarding the Phase II Capital program. The effort culminated with an open invitation to all members to meet one more time with Architect George Yu and Frankoski Brothers Construction - and this took place on May 3, 2005. |
Celebration Sunday Results |
| Celebration Sunday took place on Sunday May 15, 2005. On that date we received 26 pledges for a total of $91,000. This gives us a combined pledge for Phase I & II of the Stewardship campaign of $2,408,824. |
|
As of May 1, 2005 the actual construction effort is clearly
visible. We need your dedicated and reliable support to keep your Phase
I or II pledge up to date! Our funds will diminish rapidly now, and we
wish to avoid having to draw on the new mortgage until absolutely necessary.

| Progress from this point on will be tracked on the Progress link for the Son Rise Campaign. Please visit often to see where we are in the Phase I Building Program, as well as the Phase I & II Capital Stewardship Campaigns supporting that effort. |
