Music Ministry
The Sanctuary ChoirThe adult choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30. It sings a wide variety of choral music. New members are always welcome! They are asked to meet with the Minister of Music for a brief placement interview before joining the choir. |
Women's EnsembleThe Women’s Ensemble is made up of women of all ages and sings music from a variety of styles. The group rehearses Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the Small Rehearsal Room and sings every three weeks at the 8:30 worship service. Like all choirs at PCTR, the Women’s Ensemble goes beyond the notes in their music to learn the truths behind the texts, providing greater meaning to each song. |
OnevoiceOnevoice began in the fall of 2006 as a new choir for adults of all ages and abilities. Members range from seniors in high school to senior citizens, and the group sings music from many different times and cultures. Rehearsals are productive and enjoyable, and are held Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Small Rehearsal Room. Onevoice sings approximately once a month at the 11:30 worship service. |
The Sounds of Truth brings contemporary Christian Music to our Saturday
evening services at 5:00 PM. Practice is every Wednesday from 6:00
PM - 7:30 PM and on Saturday from 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM. |
The Senior High School ChoirThe Senior High Choir is open to youth in grades 9-12. They rehearse at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings before F.I.S.H. This choir concentrates on building the young adult voice while singing enjoyable and challenging music. They sing at the 11:30 service about once a month during the school year. |
The Junior High School ChoirThe Junior High Choir is open to youth in grades 6-8. It rehearses at 5:30 p.m. in the Large Rehearsal Room on Wednesday evenings before C.A.S.T. |

S.T.A.R. Club ChoirThis choir for pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten children rehearses during the S.T.A.R. Club time on Wednesday afternoons. |
Chancel Handbell ChoirThis adult bell choir rehearses every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30. It enjoys playing a wide variety of music both in worship and in the Annual Ecumenical Handbell Festival. Members with varied musical experiences and abilities are welcome. New bell choirs are formed as needed. |

The Senior High Bell ChoirThe Senior High Bells rehearse Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The group uses four octaves of handbells and handchimes and playes moderate to advanced music. The group plays at the 11:30 worship service about once a month during the school year. |
The Junior High Bell ChoirThe Junior High Bells rehearse Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The group uses four octaves of handbells and handchimes and is for both beginning and experienced ringers. The group plays at the 11:30 worship service about once a month during the school year. |
Summer ChoirThose who love to sing but cannot make a yearlong commitment are invited attend one rehearsal and sing in worship once, twice, or three times during the summer. |
The Concert SeriesThe Annual Concert Series extends from September to May. Concerts of all kinds of literature and performing artists are periodically scheduled during that time. Our own musical ensembles present concerts that are a part of this annual series. Concerts are usually on Sundays. |
