Children's Ministry

The Christian Education Commission, through the Children's Council, welcomes you to the ministry for children and their families.  Understanding the importance of the faith development of children, our Church provides a variety of opportunities for them. We encourage you to read through this information, so as to become acquainted with the ways the Church, in partnership with you, nurtures your child in the Christian faith.

The Manger

The Manger is the nursery of the Church. Children age birth through 2 years old are greeted each Sunday morning by our Child Care Attendant and her assistants. The attendant oversees the Manger during all worship services. In this way, she gets to know the babies and their parents, thereby creating a comfortable and safe environment for each baby and toddler.

The Church School

This program offers Christian educational opportunities for children from 2 years of age through 5th grade under the supervision of Reverend Pruner. Dedicated teachers who are committed to providing a nurturing environment for our children staff the Church School. Our Bible-based curriculum not only enables the children to grow in their faith, but also encourages them to share their faith with others. As a part of our program, the school aged children experience worship as a Church family.

Mustard Seeds

On the first Friday of each month during October – June children ages 1 - 5 and their mom/dad or grandma/grandpa meet for a fun morning of Bible story time, music, crafts and free play time in the gym. The Mustard Seeds meet from 9:30 - 11:00 AM.

The STAR Club

This club is a fellowship group for 3 year old to pre-Kindergarten children. The focus of STAR Club is to have these young children begin to learn what it means to be a Christian in their everyday lives and to help build their skills in cooperation and foster self-esteem. Children in STAR Club also become part of a choir. We join together on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 for Bible stories, crafts, singing, recreation and a snack.

The A.I.M. Club

This club is a fellowship group for Kindergarten children through 5th grade. It is held on Tuesdays from 4:15 PM to 6:30 PM. During their time together members enjoy recreation, Bible study, dinner and choir. Our choirs prepare throughout the year to sing on Family Sundays. We encourage an atmosphere of Christian love and cooperation during all the activities.

The Rejoice 'n Faith Program

Rejoice ‘n Faith offers a supplemental worship opportunity for children whose parents are attending an Adult Education offering on Sunday Morning. It is offered from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. During this time, children explore a Biblical theme through crafts, service projects and fellowship.

Vacation Bible School

This program is held each summer and is an important part of the Children's Ministry. Each year 450 children join in the fun and take over the entire Church. During this week in the summer the children experience God's love through Bible Study, song and fellowship. The program concludes with a wonderful presentation of all that the children have learned.
